The elder emos have taken a beating this January with the announcement that founding member Ben Bruce was set to leave Asking Alexandria, and Kerrang! TV will officially be taken off the air and now? Rock band You Me At Six has announced they will split up after 20 years.
Known for records such as ‘Take Off Your Colours,’ ‘Sinners Never Sleep’ and the latest ‘Truth Decay’ the Weybridge, Surrey band comprised of members Josh Francheschi, Dan Flint, Max Heyler, Matt Barnes, and Chris Miller have decided to take a step back on the 20th anniversary of the band in order to spend more time with their loved ones.
After forming the band when they were teenagers, You Me At Six has grown up amongst many fans, and being that statement gateway band into alternative music.
The shocking news was announced via social media, where the band uploaded a sombre video setting to rest You Me At Six in a graveyard, catching glimpses of gravestones with the titles of each of their albums, reliving pivotal, bittersweet moments of the band over the years as frontman Josh Francheschi reads a eulogy, stating “Its time. Its time for the finish line.”
