Jordy, Vinnie, Connor and Angus aka Melbourne quartet Teenage Dads have recently supported fellow Aussie’s Lime Cordiale on their UK and EU tour before they embark on their own headline shows around Europe.
The insanely talented indie musicians have masterfully created the most perfect sounding song referencing the anime cartoon and film ‘Speed Racer’. The track is a nod to how it feels when you think about someone that sends your heart racing. The fast electronic sounds combined with that classic surfy guitar noise makes the perfect intro to this track before it speeds into a beautifully repetitive chorus that you’ll be thankful to have stuck in your head!
Jordy’s slightly muffled vocals start to become more clearer as the song progresses and leads into the catchy lyrics ‘‘You’re my speed racer’’ which are sang perfectly alongside the springy synths and funky bass noises. Teenage Dads have perfected their band’s sound and this song is a perfect example of that as you can hear the similarities between ‘Speedracer’ and ‘Cheerleader’ which was released 2 years ago.
For such a youthful band, these boys have a ceaseless amount of talent and ideas and with every new Teenage Dads' release, it's hard to not get excited about what is still yet to come from them!
You can hear this exhilarating tune live on their first UK headline tour starting in London on June 21st before racing through Bristol, Manchester and Dublin.
