The LA-based artist is known for tackling heavy topics through the lens of hope, bringing his candid honesty, soul, and mellow vocals to a wide range of subjects. ‘In The Arms Of Silence’, co-written with veteran LA songwriter Rune Westberg, is no different.
The track is an ode to the importance of vulnerability, humility, and knowing when to be quiet. BAYWUD’s wisdom pours through heartfelt, humbling lyrics such as, “Takes a strong mind to know when it’s time to say nothing at all”.
The track’s lyrical beauty truly shines in its haunting chorus as BAYWUD pleads, “So come down from your holy mountain / Let go of your favourite ghost / And tear down all your walls of sound and / Meet me in the arms of silence.” The track uses his knack for balancing difficult subjects with optimism to its advantage. It captures despair, vulnerability, and hope without coming off as negative or self-righteous, but rather as truly authentic.
