Formed just last year on London's ever-thriving, underground music scene, Boxing Club are a sonic collaboration of friends-of-friends and connections made through intriguing forum adverts.
Only their sophomore single release, 'City Boy', delivers a cathartic soundscape hoisted by insistent percussive beats and relentless guitar lines. 'City Boy' draws overt comparisons to indie-rock outfits such as Idles, Fontaines D.C., with its punk-veined vocals and stadium-ready anthemic qualities. The track follows on from their debut offering - the dramatic and frank 'Barbra', which achieved instant success, being picked up early by both BBC 6 Music and Radio X.
Plucked from their upcoming EP 'What's the State Done To You', both 'Barbra' and 'City Boy' set the stage for an exciting 2026 for the rising quartet, and prove the band are made for more than just the London underground scene.
