Straight off the press, English duo Lucky Iris, formed of Maeve Florsheim and Jasper Exley, strike while it’s hot with their newest single ‘I Just Want To Dance’. 

Having made their entrance on the alt-pop scene back in 2020 with releases such as ‘Turns Out We Should Have Stayed At Home’ and ‘Glitter Vision’, ‘I Just Want To Dance’ proves how the band have continued to go from strength to strength. 

Maeve’s dreamy vocals and synths make for a delightful start that immediately enraptures listeners and gets them up onto the dance floor. Spurred on by the funky club beats and lyrics such as “I just want to dance if you want to/I don’t want to talk, talk, talk anymore”, it’s a song that allows listeners to really let loose and wouldn’t be out of place in sweaty, Saturday nightclubs soundtracking dancing the night away with friends. 

Already building up a solid fanbase and taking heavy influences from club classics icons including Charli XCX and some of her songs like ‘Von Dutch’ and Billie Eilish, Lucky Iris are certainly making for ones to watch in 2025 and ‘I Just Want To Dance’ is certainly helping them shimmy their way onto the scene and leaves listeners excited to see what they do next.
