On June 3rd, 2025, something magical happened at the Nouveau Casino in Paris. Wolf Alice, the London alt-rock band, played a surprise, intimate show and it was unforgettable.
From the very first notes of ‘Formidable Cool’, the crowd was completely hooked. Ellie Rowsell’s voice, soft and powerful at the same time, filled the room. Her presence was magnetic. Behind her, the rest of the band played with energy and precision, creating the perfect atmosphere in the small venue.
The setlist was a beautiful mix of old and new. Fans were excited to hear classics like ‘Bros’ and ‘You're a Germ’, but also welcomed newer songs, like ‘Bloom Baby Bloom’, with just as much love. After the bridge of that song, something special happened: the audience threw flowers onto the stage. It was spontaneous, joyful — and Paris clearly took the lyrics to heart. The band looked moved by the gesture.
A highlight of the night was when they played an unreleased song called ‘The Sofa’, from their upcoming album ´The Clearing’. Ellie looked emotional while singing it — and honestly, we were too. It felt like we were sharing something very personal with the band.
The most emotional moment came with ‘The Last Man on Earth’. The room fell completely silent as Ellie’s voice floated above us. It was one of those rare concert moments where everything stops, and all that exists is the music. And just when we thought the night couldn’t get more intimate, the band stepped off the stage and into the crowd to play ‘No Hard Feelings’. It felt like they were playing just for us, up close and real.
They ended the show with ‘Don’t Delete the Kisses’, a perfect finale. Everyone was singing, swaying, and holding on to every last note. Some fans had tears in their eyes, it was that kind of night.
In the end, Wolf Alice reminded Paris why they’re one of the most powerful live bands out there. And this is just the beginning — their EU/UK tour starts this fall, right after the release of ‘The Clearing’, which comes out on August 29. We can’t wait to hear more!
