Palaye Royale Takes Us Back To the Early 2000's With ‘Just My Type’

‘Just My Type’ is the latest single from the L.A based Palaye Royale. The track can be seen as a nostalgic nod to the early 2000s emo scene that the band often refer to when citing their influences.

‘Just My Type’ is a high-energy and heavily guitar-based track which makes for a catchy and feel good tune that pays homage to early pop punk and alternative artists. The harmonious vocals in the major key create a song that can only be described as the perfect soundtrack for summer antics.

The three brothers who make up Palaye Royale singer Remington Leith, guitarist Sebastian Danzig, and drummer Emerson Barrett, have been very consistent with their music releases within the past year. This, only building anticipation for their upcoming long-form project, the details of which are still under wraps.

Just My Type' effortlessly combines elements of the band's two most recent EPs, 'Sextape' and 'Songs for Sadness', creating a track that encompasses all the band is working towards.

The music video released alongside the single was directed by fellow musician MOD SUN. The video opens with a personal message from the band, explaining that due the recent passing of their mother the music video nearly didn’t get made, however with the help from the band’s close friends they were able to produce visuals that not only reflect the song but show the solidarity and support the band truly has behind them.

Palaye Royale’s dedication to their craft solidifies the fact that they are one of the most hardworking bands around with ‘Just My Type’ being yet another example of how the band continue to push the boundaries of the contemporary rock scene.
