The rising Edinburgh soul star Brooke Combe has recently announced seven new shows as part of the second leg of her successful UK tour in November.
Set to be her biggest tour yet, the tour will see the singer play in Sheffield, Leeds, Manchester, Glasgow, Newcastle, and Brighton, before ending in London. This will be the first time Brooke has headlined in Brighton and Sheffield, and after an electric first half of the tour, this is the perfect chance to see the singer live if you’ve missed her.
Brooke released her debut mixtape ‘Black is the New Gold’ earlier this year, and although her discography isn’t extensive, her tracks are ones that will have you playing them over and over again. After touring with acts such as Blossoms, Miles Kane, and The Courteeners, Brooke is now really beginning to solidify herself as her own star.
She regularly pays homage to love, oppression, and living as a black woman, and her mature sound really shines through in songs such as ‘Are You With Me?’, ‘Over You’, and her mixtape’s lead single ‘Black is the New Gold’. Her crooning, passionate vocals are somehow even more impressive live, so if you want to support a rising talent on the scene, then, in Brooke’s words, be ‘ready to boogie’.
