Bradley Simpson's Back And He's Giving Us ‘The Shakes’

Fresh from supporting Charlie Puth on his Whatever’s Clever! World Tour, Bradley Simpson is back with new single ‘The Shakes’. Following its live debut on the 19th of June at Simpson's community musical event, The Open Arms, fans were eager for the track to be released. Alongside teasing ‘The Shakes’, Simpson debuted unreleased track ‘I Should Call Her’ at the same event.

Opening with a sharp guitar riff and gentle drum beat, Simpson sings “You really got me worried out of my skin / I spend my nights just wondering where the hell you’ve been”. The track builds as it goes on, with stronger guitar riffs forming as the post-chorus is sung. The lyrics discuss a girl who has such an intense effect on him that he’s physically reacting from the withdrawals.

He continues into the bridge with gentle strumming: Every time I'm without you (It’s giving me the shakes) / When I’m thinking about you (It’s giving me the shakes) / Like a cold, cold shower (It’s giving me the shakes)". A simple interaction keeps him yearning for more; she quite literally has a "power" over him. The guitar riffs are a melodic highlight of the track. When paired with the drums, it combines the two simple instruments to create a silky-smooth beat.

With the release of this track, fans excitedly await news of a second album. In the meantime, Simpson has three gigs lined up with The Open Arms. Taking place in London, Manchester and Oxfordshire at The Big Feastival over the next few weeks, Simpson will be joined by special guests that are yet to be announced.

Grab any ticket you can, as Bradley Simpson is one artist you don’t want to miss out on.
