Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was packed out on Tuesday evening as thousands of fans gathered to see one of country music’s biggest stars Zach Bryan. After the huge success of his Hyde Park appearance last summer, he's returned to the UK with his ‘Heaven On Tour’ run of shows.
The support acts were brilliant and got the crowd warmed up perfectly. Fey Fili opened the night with songs including ‘Franklin County’ and ‘Suzy & Sam’. It’s hard to believe this was only her third ever show because she looked completely at home on stage. Next up was Dijon, who brought a different vibe but was equally impressive.
Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for. At 8:30pm, Zach walked onto the stage and opened with ‘Overtime’. The crowd immediately erupted, and from that moment, the atmosphere was unreal. He followed it up with songs including ‘Open the Gate’, ‘Appetite’ and ‘Say Why’ with fans singing every word back to him.
One of the highlights of the night was ‘Something in the Orange’. People were up on each other’s shoulders, waving their hands in the air and singing at the top of their lungs. It felt like the entire stadium was connected and it was genuinely magical to be part of.
Bryan also played an unreleased song called ‘You’ll Get By’ which was a huge moment for fans. After that came ‘Pink Skies' and this song never fails to hit hard live. Everyone was emotional as thousands of phone torches lit up the stadium whilst people were taking in the lyrics. It was one of those moments that gives you goosebumps that you could relive over and over again.
The energy picked straight back up with ‘Oklahoma Smokeshow’ which had everyone dancing and fans were also treated to the live debut of ‘Sundown Girls’. He performed ‘Bowery’ which his collaboration with Kings of Leon. He later played ‘Tourniquet’ which really stood out to everyone in the crowd as it's not a song he plays very often causing everyone to jump with excitement.
During ‘Burn, Burn, Burn’ the entire stadium was clapping along to the beat creating a sense of community. One thing that always stands out about Zach Bryan is his voice; he sounds better live than he does on streaming, this is demonstrated throughout this song with the rasp in his voice.
When ‘I Remember Everything’ started, fans wrapped their arms around their loved ones, swaying side to side and singing every word; It was another reminder of how much these songs mean to people.
To close the night off, a 20-minute version of ‘Revival’ was played. This is tradition at every Zach Bryan show. It's unlike anything you've seen before. Everyone was jumping, clapping, and singing non-stop throughout the entirety of the song, no one wanted it to end. Fireworks lit up the sky with colourful lights lighting up the stage. By the end of it, most had completely lost their voice.
