Pulp Set To Release Live Album And Film Celebrating 2025

Following on from a hit 2025 UK arena tour, Britpop legends Pulp have shared news of a live album celebrating their June 2025 show at The O2 Arena in London. The release comes alongside a concert film directed by Garth Jennings, to follow in Autumn.

This live release of the tour is expected to exhibit and celebrate the success last year brought for the band. Pulp’s 2025 tour followed a June release of the eighth studio album for the Sheffield band, ‘More’, which came to huge acclaim as the first album since ‘We Love Life’ in 2001.

The live album recording the momentous year, ‘Live!’, is set to be released on the 28th August 2026 by Rough Trade Records. With a tracklist featuring classic favourites such as ‘Babies’ and ‘This is Hardcore’, as well as newer tracks such as ‘Spike Island’ and ‘Got to Have Love’, there is an inevitable anticipation surrounding this live recording. One of the band’s most popular songs, ‘Disco 2000’, has already been released on Spotify, giving fans a teaser into what the album will all be about by showcasing the 1995 hit at its very best.

As a follow-up to the album, the Garth Jennings-directed film Pulp: What Do You Do For An Encore? has been announced with a release date of Autumn 2026. This offers fans a cinematic insight into the live shows that made the tour so successful, and gives those who attended the chance to relive the experience. Named aptly after the final lyrics in ’This is Hardcore’, for all those that missed out on the arena shows last year, this also offers the opportunity for them to see the band doing what they do best, by presenting both 90s Britpop favourites and modern classics to an audience across generations.

The live album’s release date of the 28th August coincides with a sold-out headline show at Manchester’s Wythenshaw Park, supported by Self Esteem and Seb Lowe. That Friday night will not be one to miss for Pulp fans, as the high of 2025 culminates in an album showcasing generational success, as well as the band continuing their legacy with a much anticipated headline set.
