What Exactly Is Bludfest, And What’s The Idea Behind This?
For those of you who don’t know what Bludfest is, it’s a one-day festival founded by Yungblud (Dominic Harrison), who also headlines it every year. One of the main reasons for this event was to create a festival that is more affordable and accessible for young people, since most commercial festivals have very high ticket prices. In an interview with ITV News, Harrison said, “Gigs saved my life. They taught me things about myself that I didn't learn in school, I didn't learn from my parents, I didn't learn from mates”, emphasising how important music can be for people and why it should be available for anyone, not only for those with deeper pockets.
A Little Bit About The Line-up:
Previous editions featured performances by artists such as Lil Yachty, Nessa Barrett, Lola Young (2024), Nxdia, blackbear, and Luvcat (2025) and this year, the fans are going to enjoy shows by Biffy Clyro, Primal Scream, Palaye Royale, Destroy Lonely, LEAP, Pale Waves, Jesse Jo Stark (who also performed there in 2024), Bambie Thug, Nieve Ella, Pam Rabbit, and last, but certainly not least, Yungblud.
Why The Change Of Location?
As previously mentioned, this year’s Bludfest was moved from the UK to the Czech Republic. Some might wonder why - the explanation is quite simple - Yungblud has always been focusing on the fanbase, and it was the way to make the event more accessible internationally. Choosing this festival venue was about its central European location (add to the fact that Yungblud deemed the Czech audience one of the best) - it’s about 100 km from Prague, 110 km from Vienna, 190 km from Wrocław, and about 400 km from Berlin. Anyone planning their trip to Park 360 in Hradec Králové from Austria, Germany, Poland, or Prague can find detailed transport instructions on the festival website, including travel options by plane, train, bus, or car, as well as info about multiple options of camping and glamping.
How Much For The Tickets?
Although standard tickets for the 2024 edition of Bludfest cost around £50, the price has risen slightly since then. Currently, the standard tickets cost about £93 (first tier was for around £68), so for a one-day only festival, it’s not exactly that cheap anymore when compared to other European festivals, like the BitterSweet Festival in Poland or Rock For People, held at the same place as Bludfest this year. You can find more information about the tickets here.
One thing that has always been at the heart of Bludfest is its strong sense of community and inclusivity - something Yungblud has always underlined among his fans. Many people who went to the previous editions of the festival on their own left having met someone whom they now can call their best friend. So if you’re wondering if it’s worth going solo, will you have a good time by yourself - don’t stress, there will probably be plenty of people like you - all looking to connect!
