Despite being formed in 1995, the band still haven't lost their signature gothic alt metal sound. With explosive guitar riffs, courtesy of Troy McLawthorn and Tim McCod, and Amy Lee's timeless vocals, 'Who Will You Follow' slots itself nicely into their discography and proves why the Arkansans have managed to reach the heights that they've hit.
For an almost four-minute runtime, the single certainly packs a punch, with them ensuring that no time is wasted. From the gentle piano line that opens up the song to the final chaotic mishmash of instruments that closes the song, every second gives listeners something new to obsess over and scream their heart out to. It's always exciting to see a band still have that same influence as they did when they first debuted, and Evanescence take this to a whole new level with 'When Will You Follow', with the music video having already amassed over 500 thousand views on YouTube in the two days that it's been out.
Having worked on the upcoming album for over three years, the release is set to be one that makes waves in the scene and showcases why Evanescence are the best in the business.
