The journey of Thrice has been a long one – from its foundations of vocalist Dustin Kensrue and lead guitarist Teppei Teranishi forging the band in high school, the band has remarkably managed to weather what has been thrown at them: navigating evolving scenes and emerging ideas outside of the genre they started in. What began as a ferocious, raucous metalcore project has matured into something more experimental, sprawling, that has carried the band to its now thirteenth studio album, garnering new fans as well as existing along the way.
‘Horizons/West’ sees the band revisit 2021 record ‘Horizons/East’, infusing the brooding, aggressive sound that defined their earlier albums with the sophistication of ‘Horizons/East’, resulting in an album that acts as a clear representation of what Thrice is as a band: melodic-hardcore with the ease of time, the assurance of a band long perfecting their craft.
Thrice’s 2026 tour will see them visit Europe in March 2026, before hopping over to the U.K to visit several venues, including Manchester’s O2 Ritz (where fellow scene veterans Underoath visited in 2025) and London’s revered O2 Forum Kentish Town. If you’re into post-hardcore, this is a chance to see one of the defining artists at the top of their game, and it is guaranteed to be a show not to be missed.
