Super Furry Animals Announce First Tour in a Decade, Alongside 20th Anniversary Reissue of 'Love Kraft'

Super Furry Animals have recently announced their first tour in over a decade. Christened as the ‘Super Furry Animals Supacabra Tour’, it will be the first time that the Welsh five-piece have played together since 2016.

Members Gruff RhysGuto PryceDafydd IeuanCian CiarĂ¡n, and Huw Bunford formed the beating psychedelia heart of the Cool Cymru movement. After forming in Cardiff in 1990, out of the ashes of bands Ffa Coffi Pawb and U Thant, Super Furry Animals currently boast a nine-album discography that ebbs and flows between Welsh and English.

Frontman Rhys similarly boasts a nine-album discography, with the most recent addition, the lilting ‘Dim Probs’, being released only last month, whilst the other members of Super Furry Animals have performed under Das Koolies since 2019.

Alongside a tour announcement, the band have also announced a 20th anniversary reissue of their acclaimed seventh album, ‘Love Kraft’. Characterised by its marriage of laidback ambience, Beach Boys-esque harmonies and potent pop, ‘Love Kraft’ was heralded as a defining moment in the band’s career. Initially released in August 2005, the album audibly glows with the group’s newfound collaborative creative process, with Rhys, Ieuan, Ciaran, and Bunford all contributing vocally.

The Welsh five-piece are set to play six dates across the UK in May 2026. The tour commences in Dublin and goes on to grace Glasgow, Llandudno, Cardiff, and Manchester, before culminating in London. Tickets go on sale on the 3rd of October, and can be found here, whilst the reissue of ‘Love Kraft’ will be released on October 24th.
