At the tender ages of 17 and 19 years old, brother and sister duo Mathew and Issey Cartlidge can boast of playing over 500 live gigs together, and a number of those just so happen to be supporting slots for The Libertines, Blondie, and even the Sex Pistols. With their punchy, punk potency delivered at breakneck speed, a quintessentially English aura only comparable to Ray Davies or Paul Weller, along with some of the sharpest suits that have ever graced the stage, The Molotovs are one of the country’s most electric outfits.
The recent announcement of their third single, ‘Rhythm of Yourself’, sees the band look to further their already enigmatic appeal.
A follow-up to their previous releases, ‘More More More’ and ‘Today’s Gonna Be Our Day’, ‘Rhythm of Yourself’ is a rocking ruse to individualism and forging your own path. Released on October 31st via Marshall Records, the London-based two-piece are eyeing up their third successive chart topper. If any burgeoning band can go three from three, The Molotovs can.
Coupled with the announcement of ‘Rhythm of Yourself’, the band has also announced a hometown headline show. An evening headlining Camden’s Electric Ballroom on October 23rd will see The Molotovs play their biggest show to date, after supporting the Sex Pistols and Frank Carter.
An autumn spent fine-tuning their mighty musicality ensures their headline show will be a truly illustrious affair. Tickets for which can be found here.
