Following on from their fantastic Reading & Leeds shows, Good Neighbours are back with a new single.
‘People Need People’ was released recently in the run-up to their upcoming album ‘Blue Sky Mentality’ - due out September 26th.
Uplifting throughout - the lyricism is to be highly praised. It’s reflective of the song’s lovely themes - surrounding yourself with people who are positive and leaning on them - “Open up the door and let your darkness shine/ Talk about feelings if you wanna cry cause people need, the people need the people”
There’s also another part to the chorus, “Build each other up until we hit the sun,” which displays how the song conveys a crystal-clear message: the importance of having friends in your circle who can motivate and make you feel happy, as well as having them do the same.
The song’s beat is reflective of the kind of music Good Neighbours are known for making. Similar to other songs like the popular ‘Suburbs’, ‘People Need People’ is fun and upbeat, with a clear rhythm and a beautiful song, a testament to the band’s wonderful music.
