More up-tempo than ‘Bittersweet!’, Konrick’s reverbed vocals flutter and float behind the thoughtful lyrics, with a similar lo-fi-indie feel to that of a boy pablo track (‘Everytime’ and ‘Sick Feeling’ come to mind). It’s breezy yet thoughtful indie-pop that’s perfect for its late-June release.
Levels on the track ensure that his voice is clear enough for us to focus on the words and not lose them to the serene background, aided by his deep vocals which keep the lyrics weighted as they blend with the atmosphere.
Tranquil guitar strums and tender drumbeats maintain the track’s peaceful ease from beginning to end, with Konrick dearly proclaiming, “You’re the missing peace that I couldn’t see”.
Konrick has quickly found his place in music with his first two singles, and is using his emotional depth to craft sweet, melodic tracks that resonate with listeners.
