Filled with bright sunny tones, commanding bass notes and an impressive vocal performance, Montello - the four-piece band based in Wigan - have captured Summer sound in a bottle with their latest offering ‘See You Right’.
Kicking off strong with an addictive lead guitar riff, ‘See You Right’ is just under three minutes of dancing bass notes, catchy indie guitar licks and an impressive vocal performance. The aforementioned guitar riff is ever present throughout the track, and is the anchor that both the verses and chorus’ float on.
The verses are punchy, and rather The Kooks-esque in parts, as the crooning, slightly raspy vocal hammers home the lyrics, singing of times with friends, love, and introspection: “I get to know myself when I’m with my friends, as they see me sober up”.
Set to be released as part of their upcoming debut EP of the same name on April 11th, this is a strong offering from the Wigan-based outfit.
