Taken from her upcoming debut EP, 'Buck' (due out October 23rd), following on from 2025's self-produced record 'not more than that, but more please', her latest offering, 'CU' is an expansive, immersive cut. Reflecting on the complex region that bridges being a teenager and adulthood, Willoh ventures into self-discovery whilst placing a drastic emphasis on sonic ambiguity, with elusive, fantastical visuals to match.
Willoh notes that the track is about: “Losing yourself at a transitional part in your life and rediscovering the person you were. It's easy to romanticise parts of your life where you felt terrible. There's a push and pull to move on, grow up, or go back to that dark place. This is that fantasisation. This is staying on the fence”.
Boasting lush vocals atop infectious instrumentation, 'CU' is an impressive offering, and with the release of 'Buck' imminent, 2026 is shaping up to be an exciting year for Willoh.
