Hi, we are Jawdropped and we are from Los Angeles, California.
What do our readers need to know about you?
We like to have fun and play music together, we like to tour and play gigs, we like to have a couple drinks and have a little chat.
What have you got coming up that you’re most excited for?
Our debut record is coming out on September 18th. It’s called 'Secret to Spare'. It has consumed our lives for the past year and we are ready to let it take flight! We are looking forward to touring more, and to getting over to Europe all together.
What’s the best run-in you’ve had with a fan?
Fan is a bit of a loaded term, but an older lady who liked our music in Nashville propositioned us very seriously and said something that cannot be repeated to the reading public, but we will never forget. She probably had 25 drinks and her husband was a hulk of a man — he was into the idea, but a little shy. We politely declined and then she didn’t even buy any merch.
What’s been your biggest ‘I’ve made it’ moment so far?
Hotel rooms are nice. Occasionally getting to sleep in your own bed. Playing the odd big gig. We haven’t made it at all in the traditional sense but getting to be in a band is making it to us. We don’t get drink tickets anymore at gigs, but now the drinks come out of our own budget so maybe the tickets were better?
What are your three “desert island” albums?
On a desert island we would be rebuilding. Charting a new path forward, there wouldn’t be much time for records. But these are 3 good ones.
