They took the music scene by storm, rapidly growing, and they aren't stopping anytime soon with the release of 'Bird On The Wire' and a debut album that is bound to exceed the already high expectations Keo have created for themselves.  The indie-rock, alternative four-piece has sold out headline tours across the UK since stepping onto stages and sharing their music. With their songs prominently being guitar-driven, with riffs and hooks that draw you in, paired with the powerful, raw vocals of Finn Keogh, their latest single slows it all down and harnesses a different element of the soon-to-be-released album. 

Instantly, it's shown that this single is different from the rest, as it opens with the slow strum of a guitar and calm yet emotional vocals. It allows listeners to stop and appreciate the lyricism; it's a song that recognises the flaws in a relationship that is wanted so badly. It explores the power that someone can hold over you, but conveys the strength in being able to step away from the relationship with the knowledge and realisation that it wasn't as perfect as believed. This is seen in the final line, "I loved you like a god / I wish you the best", that concludes the song and its storytelling perfectly; it's the maturity in walking away and moving on. 

It wouldn't be Keo without a powerful chorus and the build that they successfully create every time. The instrumentals and vocals grow louder and more powerful, as if a wave of emotion crashes down, and that power is released through the brief loudness that contrasts the beginning and end of the single. It allows the song to feel like a journey and brings the listeners into the scene that the band are able to paint so clearly through their unique sound. 

One of the many reasons Keo have been so successful at a rapid pace is their versatility, which is showcased perfectly in 'Bird On The Wire'. There are influences in their music, but their sound is unique to them; it's refreshing and new. From what the band have shared from the album, 'Put A Smile On For Me', so far it's incredibly promising, being something to look forward to with its release on September 25th. Embarking on another UK tour in October, the band clearly don't plan on slowing down, and there seemingly isn't anything that can stop them.
