mary in the junkyard Build Debut Album Anticipation ‘Blood’

Indie rock trio mary in the junkyard delivers a track worth replaying with their latest single ‘Blood’. Released on June 30th, the song is the fifth song off their 11-track album, ‘Role Model Hermit’, set to release on July 3rd.

From the opening moments of the song, ‘Blood’ establishes an intimate atmosphere with its listener before gradually unraveling into something more expansive. Vocalist and guitarist Clari Freeman-Taylor’s hushed and eerie yet cathartic vocals draw listeners in and accompany waves of distorted guitar and intensified percussion. The track succeeds in not feeling overly polished and keeps listeners’ attention to the very end.

With ‘Blood’, mary and the junkyard once again prove that they don’t follow indie rock conventions. The trio has carved out a sound that is uniquely their own, balancing vulnerability with intensity. As the anticipation for the band’s forthcoming album builds, ‘Blood’ is a strong track to hold fans over.

Shortly after the release of ‘Role Model Hermit’, the band are set to head out on tour. The 24 stops include locations across the UK, Europe, and the United States and kick off at Dublin’s The Grand Social on August 22nd.
