Acting as the title track, it’s infused with that classic Snuts sound, taking longtime fans right back to the ‘W.L.’ days. From the synths which hook you in straight away and then keep you there for the rest of the three-minute runtime to Jack Cochrane’s uniquely warm vocals, there’s something for everyone in this song.
‘In Motion’ isn’t just your typical, run-of-the-mill love song, but one that speaks right to listeners, capturing every hopeful moment that passes by. With vivid lyrics that call out to you (“run away with you / can always see light”) and heaps of melody (thanks to Jordan Mackay’s punchy drumming), it’s easy to see why this one was picked to be the opener of what’s set to be a stunner of an album.
The perfect song for the middle of summer, it’s clear to see why the West Lothian-based band have already made waves in the indie-rock scene. Joe McGillveray’s anthemic guitars lend themselves excellently to the track, meanwhile Callum Wilson’s basslines provide a strong foundation for everything else to sit on.
Upbeat and compelling, ‘In Motion’ sets the quartet in good stead for the future and gets fans thrilled for the next chapter.
