After recently releasing her third studio album ‘you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love’, Olivia Rodrigo has taken to social media to announce her next project, Daisy Chain Fields – a festival which will take place on August 29th, at Great Park in Irvine, California.
What makes this event stand out is its all-female lineup, with big names such as Chappell Roan, Doechii and Mitski, alongside legends such as Stevie Nicks and many others.
As well as this, 100% of the net proceeds will go to non-profit organisations and charities dedicated to advancing and advocating for women and girls, including Baby2Baby, Black Mamas Matter Alliance, Center for Reproductive Rights, Planned Parenthood, and others. This means the community is not only united by the music but also by meaningful change, and there is no doubt that the demand for tickets will be high given the strength of the lineup.
Tickets go on sale Wednesday, June 24th at 10am PT, with fans able to sign up for a pre-sale passcode via the festival’s website on a first-come, first-served basis. The prices start at $250 for general admission, with GA+, VIP, and Pit Viewing options also available. Pit Viewing tickets are priced at $1,250, while bungalows and suites are available by contacting the festival directly.
Seeing one of the biggest names in pop music right now, Olivia Rodrigo, using her platform to inspire meaningful change and empower women across all ages is definitely something that should be discussed and celebrated. Events like this can inspire audiences of all genders to aim for more advocacy and empowerment for women and young girls.
