Ever since their debut single ‘Stuck On You’ graced the alternative ether in 2025, LA-based singer and producer Rock Berg has carved out a quietly distinctive space in the synth-pop category. Taking the bass-heavy, groove-infused elements of '80s electronica and layering them with airy vocals and understated, instinctive lyricism, as 'Stop, Drop, and Roll' readily demonstrates, their sonic take on love, liberation, and living without limits has already drawn comparisons to the work of Eurythmics and St. Vincent.
Their latest track 'Let Go' doesn't stray from these foundations, dipping in and out of a distorted, fuzzy, hypnotic character that lures you into a warm haze of respite – the kind born on a late-night West Coast dancefloor. One can only thank Rock Berg for distilling this feeling into a song.
Exciting, fresh, and infectiously feel-good, 'Let Go' is, quite simply, what finding your own sense of freedom sounds like, providing a gorgeously unembellished yet transcendent track guaranteed to become a new favourite for alt-pop devotees.
