Their music mainly falls into the alternative/indie pop as well as synth-pop genres. Over the years, the band has garnered a devoted fanbase. This could be down to the band discussing themes of self-expression and finding a sense of belonging as queer individuals, allowing audiences to feel represented in something.
Recently, the band took down all of their Instagram posts on their individual & personal pages, replacing their profile pictures with a vague image containing a lightbulb against a wall alongside another object, which could potentially be perceived as an album cover for an upcoming release.
Alongside this, the band posted three videos; each containing one of the members taking layers off due to the heat, each video captioned ‘IT GETS SO HOT’, which could allude to this being the title of the album’s lead single. Throughout each of the videos, we can hear what appears to be the intro of the track, leading up to a drop where the video then fades out.
Potentially confirming that the project is an EP at minimum if not an album, the band posted a black and white image containing the three members with a blurry effect captioned ‘I had visions dancing in my mind’, suggesting another track title or potentially a lyric from the other track.
The latest thing the band has posted (as this article is being written) is an Instagram story allowing fans to RSVP to a MUNA fan event on February eleventh. This means that hopefully, fans can expect to find out more about what the band has in store for them within this new era of the band, and maybe make sense of these short snippets the band has been posting.
