Scottish Summer Symphonies: Your Guide To TRNSMT Festival 2026

The ever-popular TRNSMT Festival is set to return for its eighth edition. Based in Glasgow on the iconic Glasgow Green, the event, which runs over three days in the Summer, usually sees high attendance rates and a variety of great artists, with The Strokes, The Chemical Brothers, and Kasabian just a couple of previous names. Here's a guide to the artists on the bill for 2026.

Friday 19th July

The main headliner is set to be the effervescent Richard Ashcroft, who recently went on tour in the UK and was a support act for Oasis as part of their recent reunion tour. With years of experience, the former frontman of The Verve knows how to put on a show, combining a captivating stage presence with graceful vocals. Expect to hear some classic tunes such as ‘Sonnet’, ‘The Drugs Don’t Work’, and ‘Bittersweet Symphony’ throughout.

Other artists on the opening day include rapper Songer, powerful alt-rock group Wolf Alice, and rising star Luvcat

Saturday 20th July

Saturday is set to be electric, with Kasabian returning to TRNSMT for the first time since 2017, taking the headline slot in what should be an exhilarating end to day two, with a stacked setlist of hits like ‘Club Foot’, Fire’, and ‘LSF’. Scottish cult heroes The Fratellis will be there too and are going to be joined by the likes of poetic rapper Loyle Carner and popular DJ Sonny Fodera.

Sunday 21st July

Sunday sees a very strong lineup of artists, such as the excellent Two Door Cinema Club and Irish starlet CMAT.

South Arcade will no doubt deliver a high-octane set. From a plethora of hits such as ‘2005’ and ‘Supermodels’ to catchy tunes such as ‘Drive Myself Home’ off the latest EP 'Play', the band - fronted by the extremely talented Harmony Cavelle - will be marking another festival appearance, having given the crowds at Reading and Leeds this year a set to remember. The festival will close out with a performance from homegrown legend Lewis Capaldi, which will likely have everyone on Glasgow Green singing to every word of his ballads.

Tickets for TRNSMT are currently on sale with a wide variety of ticket options available for different days, which can be purchased here.
