Summer In A Song From Charlie Baker

Charlie Baker’s latest single ‘she got that something’ captures the end of summer in a song. With gentle lyrics, guitar melodies, and hidden notes of piano, it's a song full of love and emotion, perfect for dancing around the kitchen with your loved one.

‘she got that something’ is Baker’s fourth single release this year, and it's definitely a hit,  perfectly capturing the yearning feeling people feel for their crushes or partners. The use of various guitars throughout this track allows it to be heavily reliant on them. There are aspects of drums and piano, but the guitars are the stars of the show, making this the perfect indie-pop tune.

The chorus “I’d trade all my world in / share my clothes and apartment / would you look at that woman / she got that something” is instantly catchy and perfectly captures how Baker yearns for this perfect woman. The chorus shows how he is willing to give up everything for her, highlighting the beauty in human relationships and how love overrules in most circumstances.

This year has definitely been a big year for Charlie, with the release of four singles, some interviews and a handful of performances. Does this mean an album is on the way?
