Charlie Uffelman Boasts Pure Indie Folk On 'All The Same'

Originally from New York City, and a founding member of the Vermont indie-rock outfit Armanodillo, Charlie Uffelman is taking time to focus on his solo ventures - while still keeping his band mates involved in the projects.

The second track from his recently-released sophomore album ('All The Light We Dim'), 'All The Same' is enveloped in a lush, acoustic soundscape that allows Uffelman's vocals to shine through. It's overtly apparent why this is the focus track, the mature librettos and delicately layered instruments are testament to Uffelman's talent as a musician.

Speaking on the anxiety-ridden and instrospective new record, Uffelman notes: "these songs are examinations and meditations on what I want out of life for myself, my loved ones, and my fellow citizens. In a time fueled by hate and division, masked by glitz, glamor, and big words, I wanted to take a step back, examine the roots of my musicality, and try to better understand these songs".

At just under the four minute mark 'All The Same' never falters, with classic rock elements infused throughout, the track oscillates between softer sentiments, and explosive guitar-driven moments.  Wholly melodic, reflective cut that doesn't shy away from laying emotions bare. A delightful mix of country and folk  'All The Same' is an impressive offering from the seasoned Uffelman.
