This Vitamin Really Packs A Punch: Dude Safari Release New Single

image.pngGrunge-pop band Dude Safari really know what it means to put heart and soul into one’s music.

Their inventive style takes listeners to another dimension, one where creative expression is at the core of what it means to be alive, and any form of judgment has long surpassed the population. Throughout their discography, they don’t shy away from their musical influences, having grown up listening to bands such as Blink-182 and Nirvana, but instead embrace their essence and give it a whole new life. This incredible technique leads Dude Safari to produce some of the greatest tracks of the genre; not only do they hold their own deeper meanings and messages, but they’re also just super fun to blast through speakers and headphones.

Their latest single ‘Vitamin’, is no exception to this rule. After the success of their previous release, it’s no secret that the bar was set high for the band. And they have destroyed that bar. This new release comes with power, with passion and instils in listeners a sense of nostalgia they didn’t even know they felt. We look back at these great bands influencing those breaking through the scene now with gratitude, for without them, we may not have artists like Dude Safari giving us exactly what we needed on the grunge-pop scene.

The track opens with a powerful and intriguing guitar riff before immediately cutting into an eclectic mix of instruments. They waste no time in making an impact, and we love to hear it. It sets a great foundation for when they introduce their first stream of vocals, a conversational tone that differs from what one may expect from a song but very much encapsulates their essence as a group. They stand out to fit in. After this low and mellow conversation, they break into lyrics that hold much wisdom and experience. They sing “I’ve been around the world, no I'm ready to start again”, a phrase that alone holds such grandeur, so when put to music, it takes on another layer of meaning. It captures the idea of moving on from one thing to the next, even if it hurts, and the notion of realising painful situations in hindsight and growing from them. There’s betrayal in the vocals, but there’s also this growth that the hardness of the guitar brings out fantastically. There’s confidence in the lyrics that stands to be complemented as each note played seems assured and carries with it a force to be reckoned with.
