The Marra have astonished again with their brand new single ‘Falling Off’.
Following on from previous releases including ‘I Can’t Sleep’ and ‘That’s Just The Way’, ‘Falling Off’ is the band’s brand new release which leaves you eager to discover more of what this relatively new band has to offer.
Catchy guitars and drums kick the track off, providing that high-energy feel which isn’t too dissimilar from highly regarded bands such as fellow Irish bands including Fontaines D.C and Inhaler. Ryan Ward’s vocals only further demonstrate this as they show far more talent than what would typically be expected from such a young band. The shifts in vocals that are heard throughout the song give the song that special, and at times intimate, quality which leaves you hooked on the band’s sound.
The Irish lads use their instruments to their strengths. The raw, electrifying feel that the drums add to the song, complimented by the pounding fury of the bass and guitar make for a carefully executed and exhilarating song which leaves you wondering how the band don’t have more of a following than they currently do.
‘Falling Off’ is a triumphant tune for The Marra, one that deserved to be celebrated and showcased in gig venues not just in the U.K and Ireland, but also across the world. It’s fun and explosive and portrays the band in a crystal clear and excellent new light.
