Empire of the Sun To Play First Gig In Six Years

Australian pop duo Empire of the Sun are returning to London this summer as part of the Labyrinth On The Thames concert series at the Royal Naval College.

The mysterious musical duo, made up of Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore, have left a lot to the imagination regarding what the show may hold on August 2nd.

Six years may not seem like too long, but a lot has happened since their last London show at Brixton Academy in 2019. The duo released ‘Ask That God’, their first album in eight years, marking a shift in their multi-dimensional disco to a more freshly influenced sound and a stronger bite to their noise.

We can’t help but hope that among the new material that there will be a blend of some nostalgic hits like ‘Half Mast’, ‘Way to Go’ and of course the timeless,‘Walking on a Dream’. According to Setlist FM, the group has been doing a great job of dynamic mixing. With this upcoming show marking a lot of special milestones for them, we can only imagine what kind of surprises they will have in store.

Known for their extravagant costumes and theatrical stage design, Empire of the Sun have made a name for themselves as a must-see live act across the globe. With their return to London set against the historic backdrop of the 17th-century Royal Naval College - a UNESCO World Heritage Site - the stage is set for a truly cinematic and unforgettable night.

If you can’t make the show, head to Empire of the Sun’s website to check out their full list of European tour dates.
