Lenny Zen Releases Sun-soaked ‘Stick Around’

There’s a carefree brilliance to ‘Stick Around’, the latest offering from Lenny Zen—a track that feels like chasing the sun with your head out the window and your heart just a little bit broken.

From the opening line—“I’ve been running running running running round / But I can’t find my way”—Lenny drops us into a haze of youthful disorientation, but somehow makes it feel like the most blissed-out kind of confusion.

Built on a foundation of wobbly guitars, dreamy synths, and rolling drums, ‘Stick Around’ captures the sweet spot between Still Woozy’s surf-psych looseness and the bittersweet nostalgia of a heatwave you don’t want to end. There’s a giddy, joyous quality to the production—playful bells flicker in the background, while trippy guitar solos melt into the mix with ease; a sound that wouldn’t be out of place next to Declan McKenna or Djo.

The chorus is a serotonin spike, complete with a call-and-response “oh” section that feels tailor-made for a live crowd. You can picture it already: people yelling it back with their arms in the air, everything golden and spinning. Underneath the summery sheen, though, there’s a melancholy thread—a sense that things aren’t like they used to be. But rather than wallow, Lenny Zen turns uncertainty into something shimmering and shareable. ‘Stick Around’ doesn’t ask for clarity. It just wants to soundtrack the moment—and in doing so, it sticks.
