Calum Hood has officially launched his solo career with the release of his debut single ’Don’t Forget You Love Me’ ahead of the upcoming debut album ‘ORDER chaos ORDER’, set to drop on 13th June 2025. He's best known as the bassist and a vocalist of the globally successful band 5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS).
The track opens with deep, powerful vocals, carried by an upbeat drum rhythm and soft melodic guitar chords. Its stripped-back production marks a distinct shift from the high-energy polished sound of 5SOS, allowing Calum’s voice and lyrical vulnerability to take center stage.
‘Don’t Forget You Love Me’ is driven by heartfelt storytelling, reflecting on the complexities of past relationships and the emotional clarity that follows. Lyrics like “Instead of lookin’ for a fight / I should’ve looked you in the eyes / ‘Cause what it really was, was me beggin’” and “I wasn’t in the right mind with you” reveal a deep sense of regret and self-awareness.
The track is a moody emotional ballad that leans into themes of heartbreak, memory and longing. The repeated title phrase becomes a quiet plea not to be forgotten, and to hold onto the love that once was.
