The Lathums’ Dazzle At Their London Brixton Show


The Lathums delivered an unforgettable performance at the O2 Academy Brixton that brought an electrifying energy to such an iconic venue. From the moment they stepped onto the stage the crowd erupted in excitement, cheering and chanting their name. 

As the band launched into their set the atmosphere was buzzing with every single person in the audience caught up in the performance and singing at the top of their lungs. The Lathums’ ability to engage their fans and maintain a magnetic connection throughout their performance was evident and it was also clear that the night would be a memorable one.

From start to finish, the crowd was in awe of the show. The Lathums' knack for crowd interaction was on full display as between songs, the band shared light-hearted banter with the audience building a sense of connection and a personal touch. Fans responded enthusiastically, laughing, clapping, and even chanting requests. But it was their music that really did hold the crowd captive. The band’s setlist was a carefully curated with a mix of fan favourites, each one met with roaring applause and fans jumping up and down with each other in excitement of their favourite song finally being played. Whether it was a slower track or a fast-paced, high-energy tune the crowd was always fully engaged, singing along to every word. Smiles were seen on every face, and there was no mistaking the sheer joy that came from the experience.


Supporting The Lathums were two incredible acts. Silvertwin kicked off the night, warming up the crowd with their indie-rock sound. Their performance, full of energy really helped to build the anticipation for what was to come. The band's unique style blended perfectly with the vibe of the evening that really established the perfect foundation for the rest of the night’s music. 

Brogeal followed, bringing their own distinct style to the stage that was their Scottish-influenced tunes added an extra layer of depth to the evening's lineup. It was clear that they already had a dedicated fanbase in the crowd, with many singing along to every lyric. The lively energy from both Silvertwin and Brogeal had the audience primed and ready for The Lathums’ performance.

By the time The Lathums took to the stage, the crowd was absolutely buzzing with excitement. The band’s energy was contagious, and you could feel it coming off the stage whilst they leaned into their songs like ‘Fight On’ and ’The Great Escape’. 


The venue quickly became a sea of dancing fans, all bobbing up and down with the music. Each member of the band seemed to feed off the crowd’s energy. It was clear that The Lathums have honed their craft over years of performing, and not only developing a major fan base and following that showed up in numbers but this show was the culmination of that hard work. The connection between the band and the audience was something else, that really did create an atmosphere that felt both intimate and expansive at the same time with the fans loved. 


The band's dynamic performance reached its peak as they played through their set building momentum with every song which, by the end of the night the O2 Academy Brixton was alive with a sea of dancing fans all of whom left the venue with wide smiles, having had the best night. The Lathums' show was the perfect blend of excitement and always not failing to leave the crowd wanting more and more each time. It was a night that fans will surely remember for a long time, and one that further solidified The Lathums’ place as one of the most exciting acts in indie rock today.
