It’s none of your business—or should I say BEESWAX?

After forming in 2017, Easy Life have grown to be one of the top alternative indie groups with a number of hit singles, such as ‘nightmares’, ‘daydreams’ and most recently ‘BEESWAX’.

Following a few weeks of clever teasers for their latest single, ‘BEESWAX’ is officially out, and has reached over 200,000 Spotify streams in less than a week of its release. Ringing with Easy Life’s familiar soundscapes, such as muffled beats and mysterious vocals, the tune is catchy and repetitive—it’s the type of track that runs around your head after one listen.

The inspiration behind this track is almost transparent, hinting from the main catch line, ‘You should mind your beeswax’. However, the lead singer, Murray Matravers, has dove into the deeper meaning behind the song, “Everything feels so much more invasive and overwhelming after being locked away for so long at home.” The band’s ability to write music that connects with their audience and fans on a more personal level, with songs centred around universal issues such as anxiety and emerging from isolation, definitely does not go unnoticed.

After touring their way through Europe and North America, Easy Life are set to appear at multiple festivals this summer—but one of the most noteworthy events that they will be attending had got to be Glastonbury, which is the largest UK music event, and where they will be sharing the stage with stars like Glass Animals, Declan Mckenna and music legend Paul McCartney.
