Neighbourhood Weekender releases their first wave of acts, and it's better than we could've imagined...

Neighbourhood Weekender is a festival demonstrating the very reason why live music has become such a popular experience. Providing a weekend in Victoria Park abounding with song, dance and overall enjoyment, this festival has recently announced it’s first wave of acts; we have never been more excited.

The Saturday show incorporates both new music and returning performers, much to the delight of us all. In the announcement, we can rejoice in the return of previous headliners Courteeners, along with The Lathums reappearing next year to entertain fans with their renowned indie music. Accompanying these are artists such as newcomer Kysny, rising star and Brooke Combe and ‘The Voice’ legend Becky Hill, all of whom are sure to inspire all those watching, especially young women dreaming of a life on stage.

Furthermore, the members of both Tommy Lefroy and Wet Leg are scheduled to perform on the Saturday, all of whom are destined to put on exceptional shows demonstrating their considerable levels of talent in the music industry. These will perform along with Jamie Webster, who is described as an “indie titan” by the Neighbourhood Weekender website itself, and accurately too as he continues to amaze fans through his success. DMA’s, The Fratellis and Example shall also be making their exhilarating appearance at this festival; after all being recognised as acts demonstrating just how wonderful music is.

Sunday’s line-up is just as exciting for all those in attendance. Returning to the stage are Inhaler, The Amazons and Pale Waves, all rocking bands highlighting the thrilling culture of indie music. These bands have brought new life to the indie and rock scene for over 5 years and euphorically entertained audiences in each and every one of their shows.

Sunday evening’s spectators will be overjoyed to hear that Blossoms are confirmed to be  taking to the stage following a sold-out arena gig in Manchester. The band Cast (originating in Liverpool) are also scheduled to play their set on Sunday with the terrific Starsailor and The Beatles’ tribute band The Bootleg Beatles, making the line up even more appealing. Bedford-born Tom Grennan shall also perform on the final day of the festival as Pixey shows off her upcoming incredible talents, continuing the incredible environment that’ll be engrossing all those who watch.

Closing the festival on 29th May is the renowned English rock band Kasabian, who have been dominating the alternative rock scene since 1997.

We cannot wait to see all of these fantastic acts shine at Neighbourhood Weekender in May 2022, it really will be an unmissable festival.
